You are a girl after my own heart!
I think it's so neat that I was just reading your writings when my son-in-law in Indiana called to tell me my daughter had just given me another precious granddaughter, named Arvyn Quinn Renfroe!!! (Isn't that Arthurian?:) I'll be travelling up there as soon as a snow tunnel is made between northern Arkansas and Indianapolis!:D
BTW, I live in a darling cozy 1940's cottage too, with red climbing roses by and over my front porch; thus, Rose Cottage.
AcapellaSongByrdie, alias Jo Byrd HuddlestonJonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19063438.post-54886121008494338292009-12-07T08:38:30.737-06:002009-12-07T08:38:30.737-06:00I would definitely have a hard time recalling snob...I would definitely have a hard time recalling snobby, twisted people from French high society, in any century....Sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03592157819188364751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19063438.post-39605531006584280602009-12-07T07:47:32.080-06:002009-12-07T07:47:32.080-06:00I've appreciated your daily blogging and look ...I've appreciated your daily blogging and look forward to hearing about new memories made in your new house.Carolinagirlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19063438.post-37304133702834319612009-12-07T00:28:20.966-06:002009-12-07T00:28:20.966-06:00Bravo! It's been a marvellous month's writing and pictures from you, and I'm glad you're pleased with it.

I think you can train the memory a little bit like that. People who do it alot certainly seem to have more detailed recall than those who don't.

This is one of the things Proust is about, not just how involuntary memory can be spontaneously triggered by certain actions, sights, tastes and other associations, but how it can be used as raw material for creativity. He had a peculiar and very intense gift for it, of course, he seemed to be able to recal every hair and fibre and slight movement, and he procrastinated about getting down to writing for years, but was still able to retrieve it.

Of course you wouldn't want, necessarily, to be recalling snobby, twisted people from French high society and the demi-monde in the late 19th century! But what the material is is unimportant, it's transformation that counts.Lucyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09764296105901909328noreply@blogger.com
